Aims :

Objectives of Gandhi International

To put into practice in the present background Gandhi’s insights, thoughts and methods of action, using debate and nonviolent struggle, with the ambition of bringing about a profound transformation in our societies.

The transformation sought has ethical, social and political aspects, including food sufficiency and economic autonomy, respect of the ecological balances and the preservation of biodiversity, education and intercultural/interreligious dialogue.

To create international links and set up coordination between movements working in support of the reappropriation of the rights for the poorest populations with the aim of ensuring their access to vital natural resources (land, water, forest etc…) and to work.

Gandhi International’s action is inspired by the ongoing action of its partners and supporters.

It involves communication and lobbying, networking and organising coordinated actions at international level, in particular with regard to the events to take place in October 2012.

To promote the creation of institutes of Gandhian Studies in Europe and Africa, with the aims of training to non-violence and to practices linked to Gandhian philosophy and economy in the fields of agriculture, handicraft, social behaviours,  education and art.
